Passion – Pass it On!

I just love this blogpost of Tristan Walker, a Stanford MBA, who reached out to the founders of foursquare for a summer internship:

While there is sense of informality in his approach, it is clear that Tristan is excited about the organization and wants to work for them.  He sent 8 emails before they responded, and then Tristan flew out cross-country to meet with the founders the very next day.

Passion.  It never gets old.  Great careers are built on our own self-interest and self-motivation. What gets you so excited that you would be willing to reach out to the head of a company and fly across the country in a moment’s notice?

Good for you, Tristan.  And it seems after 2 years you are still going strong.  Glad you made the right call.
