{"id":847,"date":"2015-04-17T22:11:50","date_gmt":"2015-04-18T02:11:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/readysetlaunch.net\/?p=847"},"modified":"2017-02-07T14:28:09","modified_gmt":"2017-02-07T19:28:09","slug":"just-get-your-business-started","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/readysetlaunch.net\/2015\/04\/17\/just-get-your-business-started\/","title":{"rendered":"Just get your business started!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.skinnymommyfitness.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/Just-Start.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In my coaching work, I have the distinct pleasure of supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs as they take their growth ideas, products, services, passions, and business savy into the marketplace.\u00a0 They deserve a great deal of credit as striking out on your own can be risky.<\/p>\n<p>If you are thinking of putting a toe in the water, consider starting a side business. This allows you to keep all the benefits of your current employment, while testing out a concept that you think might be able to succeed.\u00a0 Side businesses come in all shapes and sizes. First and foremost, you should be able to work on things that come naturally to you.\u00a0 After all, these are your gifts and talents.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some areas to consider as you are getting your side business off the ground:<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>JUST START<\/strong> \u2013 Believe in your heart and in your mind, that you can do this. If you don\u2019t believe in this, then how are you going to convince others?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Build the Team<\/strong> \u2013 You don\u2019t need to have paid employees, to build something.\u00a0 Your team could be friends, family, and former colleagues, who want to see you succeed and have talents they could offer you to nurturing this growing business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Commit Time<\/strong> \u2013 It is your most important resource.\u00a0 If something is not on the calendar, then it does not exist. For your cottage business to thrive, you need to devote a daily increment of time to it. 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes.\u00a0 Whatever you can commit, will help move this venture forward.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sell, sell, sell<\/strong> \u2013 It is not a dirty word.\u00a0 Sales is the lifeblood of any business.\u00a0 It is a dialogue, not a monologue. Just be yourself and let people know about the work you are doing. \u00a0After all, if they don\u2019t know about you, how can you help them? When they have a question, you answer it.\u00a0 That is a sales conversation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Be Resilient<\/strong> \u2013 No one (except perhaps a few family members) will be as excited about your business as you are. Recognize that others are busy, and have different priorities, so don\u2019t be offended when they don\u2019t jump for joy in hearing about your work.<\/p>\n<p>Go make that business happen.
